Weddings at Emerald Bay------->back to Public Ceremony Sites

Absolutely the most beautiful place in the world to get married! Okay, so I may be a little biased in this case. Weddings at Vista Point above Emerald Bay are a beauty to behold. The weather is generally safe from mid May to mid October, although snow is not unheard of at either end of the spectrum. If you are planning to have your wedding when the weather is warm, there will likely be people here. If so, just have the minister and several guests/helpers congregate early at the ceremony spot. The people that are giving you room at this point will likely still be there applauding at the end. There is a lot of room, however. Our wedding was for 60 people in early October and fact that it was public was hardly an issue.

Currently, the options for weddings in Emerald Bay are limited to just areas on National Forest Lands. To contact the Forest Service, call (530) 543-2600. Those areas in Emerald Bay State Park are no longer available for weddings at this time. This includes Vikingsholm, Lower Eagle Falls, and the beachfront at the head of Emerald Bay.

Emerald Bay is located 10 miles north of the 'Y' in South Lake Tahoe on one of America's most beautiful highways (89). We're talking "keep your eyes on the road, dear" beautiful.
