Eagle Falls, Vikingsholm, and the head of Emerald Bay
In springtime, Lower Eagle Falls would have to be one of the most beautiful
places on earth for a small wedding ceremony. However, at this time, wedding
ceremonies are not allowed in Emerald Bay State Park. It is possible to
wed on the Lake in Emerald Bay, and then take photos at the falls which
are only 3/10 of a mile from the beach. Vista
Point is at the Vikingsholm trailhead, and is an unbelievably beautiful
site. The hike from the road to Vikingsholm is a one mile gentle slope
on a well maintained path. Waterfalls dot the hillside in spring and early
summer. If you plan to take photos from Vikingsholm or Lower Eagle Falls,
early is better than late as the afternoon light is gone fairly early.
The beach at Vikingsholm is large with beautiful white sand.

It's well worth the walk
